My Review Rating [⭐⭐✩✩✩]
Another home kitchen serving at your doorstep. At my order I wasn't expecting too much but KG's took me with surprise, the taste was one of the better curries i have had in this pendamic, more of an authentic home cooked Saoji's mutton curry, in fact it was as same as the other Saoji restaurants in Nagpur i came across. Launched in 2016 and run as a food delivery service, KGs have achieved quite a success till date.
About the chef -
A Passion turned business for Mr. Bhushan Paradkar, born and brought up in Nagpur, an engineer running a food business, he definitely can overshadow most of the fine dining restaurants in Nagpur provided he adds up few good culinary skills to his profile.
For the KGs, it is a team of young enthusiasts strived hard to achieve success, which eventually they got too to a certain extent. however, what they lack is a presentation of food and best of the ingredients available in the market.
Menu -
Simple yet choosy, there were not much of options to choose from, however, KGs will accept special demands provided that shall come under a curry preparation. I am a fan of traditional curries and as I am in Nagpur I had to ask for "Mutton Saoji curry" 👍
I felt its bit costly for a food which is delivered at home. Discounts or Promotional offers would have been much more appreciated. Though for my first time order I got a discount of Rs. 100.
What I ate -
Now that you have guessed it right for what I had ordered, lets jump to the quality and quantity of the food. For 1 KG of mutton, the portion was fairly sufficient for four, for if you can keep some of it aside for the evening or for the morning, the leftover tastes delightful with a naan or a hot roti.
Saoji Mutton Curry [Rs. 1200/KG]
Quality of the Lamb was not that good or that might have been cooked a little long or tenderized before it is been cooked should have added the tenderness I was looking for. In the curry spiciness was more of a paprika than the masalas used in the curry. Anyone could guess it was definitely made at home.
Courteously, we enjoyed curry more than the mutton in the dish.
I am curious to see and enjoy KGs delightful service as a restaurant in coming future. I sincerely wish KGs all the very best for its future endeavors.
Hello sirji thanks for your honest review.
ReplyDeleteIt was not lamb ,it was goat, there is difference in taste in both.
Actually we cook as per customer preference ,so if you would have told me to cook(tender) mutton I would have done too,as you know people of Nagpur like less tender mutton,so it was honest mistake from us,so sorry for that sirji..
And we are really happy to serve you and have a customer like you next time try or mutton masala and chicken sukkha .....
Thanks again sirji for your wonderful words....
